What personal data we collect, why, who sees it and your choices.
In short: we use your information to run AstroTrust, manage profiles and verification requests, handle complaints, protect the service and respond to you. We limit access to private documents and never display them publicly.

What we collect
- Account details: email, optional mobile number, password (stored only as a secure hash), language and notification preferences, sign-in and security records.
- Astrologer profile: professional name, district, languages, specialities, fees, experience statements, public contact details and links you choose to publish.
- Verification material: documents you upload for a specific check, issuer details, reviewer notes and status history. Private by default.
- Reports, complaints, responses and appeals, including any evidence files.
- Technical and security data: access logs, timestamps and browser information, used only for security and accountability.
- AI processing: AI features are currently switched off. If enabled after review, the AI Transparency notice will say what data is sent and why.
What we never do
- We do not collect Aadhaar numbers or full government ID numbers in text fields.
- We never publish uploaded documents, ID numbers, reporter identities or internal reviewer notes.
- We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
Who can see what
- The public sees only published profile fields and the result and scope of each check.
- Uploaded evidence is seen only by authorised reviewers; every view is recorded.
- A person who reports a concern is never identified to the astrologer.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, and raise a grievance. Some records may be kept for legal, safety or audit reasons. How to make a request: [RIGHTS REQUEST PROCESS].
